Russia on Sunday reported a massive drone attack launched by Ukraine on the capital, Moscow, with the country’s TASS news agency reporting that a facility at the Moscow Oil Refinery was damaged in the ongoing attack.

Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin said the drone attack was still underway and that a facility on the premises of the refinery had sustained damage. He said there were no casualties.

First responders were deployed to the site following the reported damage, the mayor said. Emergency personnel were also working in areas where fragments from intercepted drones had fallen.

The reported attack came as Russian authorities said a large number of drones had been intercepted while approaching Moscow.

According to TASS, the number of drones downed while approaching the Russian capital had reached 186. The news agency cited Sobyanin as saying that emergency crews were operating in areas where drone fragments had fallen.

The extent of the damage at the Moscow Oil Refinery was not immediately detailed in the information provided by TASS. There was also no reported casualty figure beyond the mayor’s statement that no casualties had been reported at the refinery facility.
